I switched to Perceptol for a while, but I miss the convenience of a fine grain liquid one shot It didn’t fail quickly, but gradually when stored exactly according to Ilford’s own info. Apr 26, 8.

Ilfosol S vs. Ilfosol 3??
Rated 5 out of 5 by William from Very good developer I have read that some say this developer has a short shelf life in a partial bottle that may be, but I broke it down into several 2 oz brown glass bottles to prolong the life Date published: They have a very similar tonality with Ilfosol being maybe a little sharper for the same granularity.
I switched to DDX because it was said to have suited the Delta range especially D and not because of any problem with Ilfosol.

The choice of monochromatic films today is limited, but not too restricted, compared to a decade ago when this article was originally written, and it is a choice which is still quite interesting.

Works ulfosol great with most of Ilford’s films. And would tri-x and tmax develop okay in ilfosol? I investigated this issue z read that Ilfosol is intended for finer-grained film.
It seems like a lot of hassle to mix it, since its powder. I use it with Panf50 and FP4 and the results are really nice. This is the only developer that I’ve used, so far. Rated 5 out of 5 by Vincent from Ilfosol-3 at 68 deg is perfect for FP4 I’ve avoided using Ilfosol-3 because the bottle and spec sheet give only the developing time for FP-4 at 75 deg F, and I can’t be maintaining one chemical at 75 deg, and the others at 68 deg.
Today I got my first bottle of Ilfosol 3 from Ag photographic. I have found that it has a reasonably long shelf-life as long as certain elementary precautions are taken. I like Ilfosol 3 as a standard developer.
